BARTEC PEF consists of a combination of polyester faced acoustic foam bonded to a flexible mass barrier with a further acoustic foam decoupler bonded to the other side of the mass barrier.
By bonding the thinner decoupling layer (generally 6-12mm thick) to the surface of the structure it allows the mass barrier to act indepentently to the surface which adds significantly to the overall transmission loss of the structure.
BARTEC FLEF consists of a combination similar to PEF above but the polyester facing is replaced by a PV film facing. Other combinations are available upon request. The selection of the correct materials and facing type and also the thickness is based upon the reductions required and the frequency spectrum of the noise being contained.
